COMPASS implements a circular 26-letter keyboard controlled by a rotational bezel and a physical select button, placing multiple cursors that the system dynamically repositions after each selection to minimize rotation distance. Simulation and two user studies find three cursors is optimal for accuracy versus travel, users pick up at about 9.3 WPM and reach 12.5 WPM after 90 minutes with low error; autocomplete (alpha=0.7) reduces presses and repeated rotations.
