Built a wristband proof-of-concept Direct Manipulation-enabled Tactile display with four vibration motors that synthesizes 360 tactile pixels using phantom sensation to render a felt tactile pointer and spatial targets. Targets use 320 Hz versus 75 Hz for void; success is three short 320 Hz pulses, failure a longer 320 Hz pulse. Menu selection yields 97% accuracy in ~3.0 s for four items and 92.5% in ~4.5 s for eight items; drag-and-drop drops to ~89% accuracy at ~9.9 s.
