A smartwatch keyboard called WatchWriter runs the Google keyboard statistical decoder locally (160,000-word lexicon) and supports both one-letter tap and one-stroke gesture typing; the prototype runs on an LG Android Wear watch, shows two on-watch suggestions, omits a space key for taps, and inserts spaces on word selection. A 36-participant study (21 phrases each) reaches about 22–24 WPM with near-zero error rate, so the build works well.
