summary

Android Q adds a developer preview of Bubbles API that ties floating chat bubbles to notifications and launches activities in resizable windows, a system-level gesture navigation with edge insets and exclusion rectangles, and three Dark Theme options including an OS Force Dark inverter with per-view opt-outs. Other specifics: a faster share sheet with a sharing-shortcut API and copy button, Jetpack Compose as an open‑source Kotlin UI toolkit (compiler plugin), RenderNode/HardwareRenderer and hardware bitmaps, ART cloud app profiles and generational GC, Kotlin nullability enforcement, CameraX, WorkManager stable, and tightened storage/location privacy.
