From Skopje to Seattle: My Journey in Tech
summary
Career pivot from telecommunications to data using Power BI and UX design leads to a reproducible path: learn ETL/data engineering and visualization, apply UX research and accessibility principles to reports to reduce bias, and build credibility by blogging (Moonstory) and running 30‑minute mentoring calls (coffee stories). First conference talk lands in May 2023 at New Stars of Data, first in‑person slot at PASS Data Community Summit in Nov 2023, then three sessions at SQLBits, and the approach generates steady speaking invitations.
