Type-safe meta programming in Swift? Lets talk about Sourcery.

Swift has very limited runtime support and no meta-programming features but Sourcery scans source with SourceKit, builds an AST and generates plain Swift code (no runtime magic), adds annotations and inline injections, and supports Stencil Swift and EJS templates. It automates deriving Equatable/Hashable, caches scans so it runs fast — <1s for 864 types on a large codebase — and already sees real adoption — 7,000 apps using generated code.
