Build: a PM-resident cache/storage layer inside the block I/O path that keeps chunks + tags with a two-way layout, uses static placement and periodic background flushes, and requires about 100 lines modified in existing kernel code. Evaluation uses Intel DC PMM with SSD/HDD backing, compares against Ext4, Ext4-DAX and NOVA, and shows >9× throughput as a cache and durable in-order semantics that Ext4 cannot provide; collision handling uses stride placement and immediate “purge” flushes and the design degrades when PM is smaller than the working set.
