JavaPosse LIVE at Devoxx US
summary
A live Java Posse reunion celebrates a 10-year podcast legacy with free beer, signed hats hats auctioned for charity that sell for about $50, and a lot of jokes about Java features — lambdas and streams praised, JDK 9 modules and collection factory methods flagged as meaningful upgrades. Conference stats cited include 650 attendees, 210 speakers, 26 sponsors and 31 countries, plus 713 app downloads. Panelists recount moving from core Java into Android, Go, C++ and tooling work and share plenty of nostalgic war stories.
