Quarkus runs familiar Spring Web + Spring Data JPA code, adds hot dev reload (0.167s observed) and produces GraalVM native image binaries that cold-start in about 11 ms. Demo uses H2, Jackson, Kubernetes/OpenShift and shows Quarkus consuming less memory than equivalent Spring Boot and Node.js containers and scaling to ready pods far faster under load. Code changes, DI, REST, JPA repos and delete/exception behavior all work live in the dev loop.
