A web app built on the Spotify API tests two ranking methods: time-based ranking (chronological playlist) and a dissimilarity score ranking that pushes songs less similar to group members toward the bottom. A within-subjects study with 45 participants in 15 groups of 3 finds openness has a strong negative correlation with valuing fairness and a positive correlation with playing the playlist solo, time-based yields lower representation (minimum group ratio) and is judged unfair, and the system scores SUS 81.3.
