Uses Jetpack Benchmark to measure real interactions on the OLX app: scrolling and randomized clicks across a mock dataset, with output in nanoseconds and a JSON report. Setup requires Android Studio 3.5 beta, a separate benchmark module, disabling debugging and handling multidex and Firebase hacks. Integrates into GitLab CI to run on an emulator, parse medians and fail builds if a hard threshold (about 138000 ns, 10% delta) is exceeded. Measured opening an ad at 18 ms average; required modularizing code to make benchmarks stable.
