Breaking the norm with creative CSS
summary
Shows practical CSS techniques and working demos: use clip-path with SVG URL to cut shapes from elements and crop photos so you can ship a JPEG instead of a PNG — the claim is JPEG can be about 6× smaller than the PNG equivalent — and use masking computes alpha per pixel for soft fades. Covers CSS Grid, shape-outside (must be floated and sized), SVG text-on-path, browser support details (Chrome/Firefox/Safari mostly, IE/Edge/Opera Mini lacking) and recreates a 3D skewed layout purely with CSS transforms.
