Building a Ruby: Artichoke is a Ruby Made with Rust

Artichoke is a Ruby implementation that targets Ruby 2.6.3 core and Standard Library by embedding sources in a virtual filesystem and compiling Rust to WebAssembly so it executes in browsers and servers. It uses multiple backends for ENV, IO, regex and arrays, ships as a single statically linked binary, and shows concrete wins: 25% faster string scan and ~50% faster regex on benchmarks, plus a working Sinatra/Rack proof of concept.
