A small Ruby toolchain actually generates optimized automotive platform code: RGen provides RGen metamodel → automatic Ruby classes and a model builder/serializer that roundtrips to JSON, and the code generator handles a BMW ECU project with about 100 software components, several hundred interfaces, >2,000 signals. A web editor called Concrete runs as an embeddable JS widget, reads the metamodel JSON, offers HTML/CSS-driven concrete syntax, autocomplete and constraint checks, integrates with Rails, and is available on GitHub as a gem.
