summary
Rust project and foundation announce that the Rust Foundation Maintenance Fund is 100% directed by the Rust project funding team and is backed by Google, AWS, OpenAI and the project leadership to pay maintainers and residents so they can work full time without financial risk, with a goal to roughly double funded roles next year. A new Rust commercial network launched to channel corporate funding and spawn working groups like Safety Critical, Network Services and Crossplatform GUI, and Nvidia and Solana Foundation join as platinum members.
