Create and Attend Meetups
summary
Advice: keep meetups at the same time and location so people form a habit, secure an event host or sponsors to cover simple dinner like pizza, and use Meetup.com to announce, RSVP, and manage contacts. Offer varied formats—lectures, hands-on tutorials, lightning rounds—and always have backup content (ng-conf videos, tutorials, blog posts). Begin small—three founders in 2010 grew to multiple monthly meetups and a sixth annual conference; ng-conf draws 500 to 700 developers. Networking requires deliberate staffing of conversations.
