on the London Java Scene and his Presentations
summary
London Java Community has about 3.5k members and runs events almost every night, runs hack days on lambas and helped finalize the date/time JSR with Steven curn; an Adopt OpenJDK group is organizing a one-day Java 9 conference with Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, NHS and the British government. Advice: automate everything — use Chef, Puppet, Vagrant and services like Expensify. Built product JClarity is a hosted performance tool with client demons sending messages to a Vert.x-based backend and MongoDB; it works but MongoDB has caused stability problems.
