" summary

GP3 cuts storage price 20% to $0.08/GB-month while giving a consistent 3,000 IOPS baseline and up to 1,000 MB/s decoupled from capacity; IO2 Block Express previews up to 256,000 IOPS, 4,000 MB/s, 64 TB per volume and sub‑millisecond latency with R5B instances scaled to 260,000 IOPS and 7,500 MB/s. SC1 drops to $0.015/GB and minimum size to 125 GB. Snapshots add shared FSR, DLM now manages EBS‑backed AMIs with Cron schedules, Direct APIs enable snapshot read/write, and Outposts support local encrypted snapshots.
