Keynote - Python Software Foundation Update
summary
PSF runs PyCon with seven staff coordinating volunteers, vendors and hybrid streaming that reports about 600 remote viewers. The foundation maintains a vendor‑neutral home for Python, pays a developer in residence working on CPython and a packaging manager who is launching a packaging grand vision and seeking community input. Grants total $117,000 awarded this year, and regional efforts like PyCon JP raise about 25,000 USD for PSF. Search and staffing changes happened and community service awards are catching up.
