Learning at Scale 2021 moves to Potsdam and co-locates with the European MOOCs forum e‑MOOCs, running June 20–25 2021. The host institution is HPI, a private digital engineering institute founded by Hasso Plattner, which runs the openHPI platform used by partners including SAP and WHO and by the German AI Campus. The platform absorbs surges—peaking at 50,000 new daily registrations during lockdown—and HPI reports it scaled without major outage.
