Lightning Talk: Cloud Native Wales: How We Contributed to the Community with No Code
summary
Two people in Wales launch Cloud Native Wales and hit one year of meetups with 100s of local attendees. They run a public workshop and a Raspberry Pi Kubernetes demo as proof of concept, secure a free tall-office venue for meetups, and recruit speakers by emailing and approaching other meetups. Practical actions include a swag table, giving away a conference ticket, and a tech-amnesty donating game consoles; the community grows and the events consistently draw speakers and contributors.
