An open source project called Qualifier defines about 35 FHIR metrics and ships a reference implementation with roughly six metrics completed; it runs SQL against Postgres or DuckDB and directly against NDJSON exports using DBT and Jupyter/Quarto for reports. It produces concrete numerators and denominators, flags duplicate IDs, implausible lab values, missing terminology codes, and date anomalies, runs quickly on synthetic exports, and is designed to port to other backends.
