nREPL middleware "babel" intercepts every reply and replaces Java-heavy error text with beginner phrasing by matching classes and capture groups, e.g. turning java.lang.String into string or java.lang.Number into number. version 1 parses rendered strings with regex-based parsing; version 2 reads the actual exception object from star-e and uses spec data for spec-based pinpointing (wrong arg, arity, etc.). A test harness runs snippets, compares original vs. modified errors, and logs both for iterative improvement.
