"How Rust is Powering Next-Generation Space Mission Simulators"

ESA-funded open-source Ephemerista uses a Rust astrodynamics core called Lux to represent time across seven astronomical timescales, support 13 billion years at 0.1s precision, and expose Python via PyO3. Time is modeled as an i64 seconds plus an f64 subsecond with a leap-second-aware UTC I/O type, a LeapSecondProvider trait, and a graph of TryToScale/ToScale specializations (NoOpOffsetProvider, DeltaUT1TIProvider) to make infallible and fallible conversions explicit. Lux is nearing v1 and lives on GitHub.
