Keynote: Cloud Native Updates
summary
CNCF reports growth from 22 to about 118 members and expands from ten to twelve hosted projects, with Kubernetes adoption now powering large-scale deployments. Oracle announces Terraform scripts to provision HA Kubernetes control planes on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and an easy-install Kubernetes for Oracle Linux with support options. Lyft donates Envoy, a sidecar proxy that centralizes inter-service routing and metrics for 200+ microservices, and Uber donates Jaeger, a Go-based distributed tracer with OpenTracing support and pluggable storage (Cassandra, Elasticsearch) used across 1,000+ services.
