Android Files Client Retrospection and sneak preview
summary
An update on the Nextcloud Android Files client covering release management and engineering practices: after a feature freeze in July the app moved to release-candidate rollouts on the Play Store and then six months of bug‑fix‑only maintenance, with staged rollouts for fixes. Continuous integration now includes an integrated test system to catch regressions and increase coverage, and planned/ongoing features include beta work on video streaming that avoids full-file downloads and improved offline handling to substantially reduce download wait times.
