Preact: Into the void 0

Talkat JSConf EU 2017 · on Sunday, 2017-05-07· [react, frontend-architecture]
slides:none on file

Preact is a tiny 3kb React alternative and the talk shows a working path from JSX through an H factory to a one‑line Virtual DOM renderer that creates elements and text nodes, then a three‑step diff (type, children, attributes) with keyed lists to preserve order. Tools used: Babel/Bublé, webpack, JSFiddle, benchmark.js and Chrome/V8 tracing. Measured results include a ~3.18 ms render example, 5M‑iteration microbenchmarks, and a huge win from an early‑return optimization.
