summary

An interview with Nikita Lipsky covers the creation and business history of Excelsior JET: the idea origin, negotiations with XDS and Sun Microsystems, the difficult 1990s period including rescuing the team after a split, the first sale, the long port to AMD64, amusing incidents like the “two guys” story, and unusual support cases. Hosts Ivan Uglyansky and Alexey Fedorov guide the conversation.
