Spring and AI without Spring AI

links:none on file
slides:none on file

Builds runnable Spring clients that call OpenAI-style REST endpoints using HTTP Exchange Interfaces, Jackson and Java records, not a framework wrapper. Demonstrates Chat completions, DALL·E image generation (base64 decode to file, ~$0.04 per image), and Whisper transcription (minute‑based pricing ~$0.006/min), and shows token costs for GPT‑4 Turbo at $10 per million tokens (~$0.01 per 1k). Produces MP3 byte[] responses, handles snake_case mapping and validation, compiles to a Graal native image (~100 MB binary, ~0.08 s startup) and it works end to end.
