summary
A small open‑source platform called data docs layers arbitrary web content over video and syncs it to the timeline, using contributed plugins for Popcorn JS plus helpers for full screen and embedding. A prototype funded by the KN Foundation demonstrates live data-driven overlays — for example an interactive chart showing six different unemployment rates that updates alongside the footage — and the code is on GitHub for others to extend.
