Zero to app: Livecoding a cross platform app with Firebase and Flutter

Talkat Firebase Summit 2020 · 2020-10-27..10-28· [flutter]

Live code builds a cross‑platform Flutter polling app in about 15 minutes that actually works: UI uses Flutter hot reload, vote state syncs via Firebase Realtime Database with real‑time listeners, authentication uses anonymous Firebase Authentication so writes require auth.uid and security rules restrict writes to a user’s own node, rounds are seeded by a Node.js Admin SDK script, vote totals are computed by a Cloud Function, and the web + mobile clients simultaneously receive live updates from thousands of votes.
