Refactoring Elixir - Lessons Learned from a Year on

Refactors of exercism.io solutions show concrete wins: a binary-search rewrite trades a case statement for pattern-matched clauses with negligible speed change; benchmarking with Benchee (10s runs per case) produces the surprise that pattern matching is fast and that a map lookup is almost twice as slow than an equivalent pattern-match. Space-age math moves to a macro so the macro compiles math at compile time, yielding measurable gains. A fast_elixir repo collects these before/after benchmarks and examples.
