Day 1 Wrap up
summary
Day one mixes a mind‑bending Lawrence Krauss keynote that frames life as pointless and religion as nonsense with practical Java and ops notes: Java 9 under-the-hood changes may slow adoption and break code, microservices and Docker provoke glazed eyes but still spread, and Ignite: 5 minutes, 20 slides runs on schedule and lands fine. Minik creator Andrew Tan appears tomorrow, Devoxx livestream rebroadcasts Mark Reinhold and Jurgen Höller’s packed session, and stage branding gets a visible refresh.
