Opening Keynote
summary
Organizer of the first US CSSConf launches the Australian edition, recounts starting CSSConf EU and founding community events, and traces a career through Yahoo’s performance team to running sites at scale, then to 100% pairing at Pivotal Labs where full‑stack work changes routes controllers and models. Mentions a slide deck on object-oriented CSS that hits half a million views, describes switching from carpentry after hand injuries, and urges joining open source, trying SVG, and following unexpected technical tangents.
