Automation runs weekly to read table stats into a central metadata DB, call Databricks analysis, segment tables into seven clusters by reltuples and dead_tuples, and update per-table autovacuum knobs (notably autovacuum_vacuum_cost_limit increased and autovacuum_vacuum_cost_delay reduced) via an Airflow DAG. The 7-step pipeline reclaims about 1.5 TB reclaimed of server disk across clients and yields ~70% faster average query times, proven on Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server and fully automated and monitored.
