A look at Ancient City Ruby 2015
summary
Small, scenic conference held in St. Augustine, FL with warm, encouraging attendees and surprisingly low awkwardness; many in-person meetups with GitHub collaborators and reconnects with Code School students lead to actual pairing and hacking sessions rather than just card-swapping. The venue supports casual hallway code reviews and the given talk lands laughs and clear technical rapport, prompting a hopeful return request and solidifying community ties at a scale that actually works.
