| D2FS: Device-Driven Filesystem Garbage Collection | FAST '25 | 2025-02-25 |
Claims that device-side GC can replace filesystem GC and cut overhead by letting the SSD reclaim invalid segments and push LBA remaps to the host. Implements…
| ZNS+: Advanced Zoned Namespace Interface for Supporting In-Storage Zone Compaction | 15th USENIX Symposium on Operating Systems Design and Implementation (OSDI '21) | 2021-07-14 |
ZNS+ adds internal zone compaction and permits sparse sequential writes so the host offloads data-copy for segment reclamation to the SSD, implements…
| Reinforcement Learning-Based SLC Cache Technique for Enhancing SSD Write | 12th USENIX Workshop on Hot Topics in Storage and File Systems (HotStorage '20) | 2020-07-13 |
Claims a Q-learning agent that monitors workload and internal SSD state and adjusts SLC cache size and hot/cold separation threshold to maximize write…
