The Future of JavaScript is A.I.

Talkat YGLF 2019: Code Camp · 2019-04-03..04-04· [javascript, machine-learning]

A set of live demos shows JavaScript actually doing AI not just promising it: a Slack bot that detects faces and maps emotion scores 0–1 to emoji using a face API, clientside image recognition with TensorFlow.js and a MobileNet model, calls to the Azure Computer Vision API that sometimes mislabel famous photos, and a GAN image-to-image model trained elsewhere then exported and streamed into the browser as a ~15 megabytes generator. The claim is runnable code via npm install @tensorflow/tfjs or simple API calls and most demos work end to end.
