summary
Year-to-date metrics show Vue growing from ~37k to ~46k GitHub stars and npm hitting 9.7 million total downloads with ~1M/month and 350k+ devtools users, funding via Open Collective enables paid community proposals, and 2.5 ships TypeScript inference and an errorCaptured hook. The CLI moves to a zero-config plugin architecture using webpack-chain with presets, scaffolds web components that produce an 7KB entry chunk and lazy-load internals, and the roadmap names webpack 4, ESM browser builds and a proxies-based reactivity overhaul.
