FlexMem is a page-profiling and migration system that combines performance-counter and fault-hint profiling to catch both long-lived and emerging hot pages, uses a formula to set a dynamic demotion watermark to cut promotion failures, and continuously adjusts a warm-page range by tracking page-shift ratios. Implemented on Intel servers with 30 GB fast memory and 768 GB persistent memory, it outperforms Tiering-0.8, TPP, and MEMTIS by 32%, 23%, and 27% on average across 64–133 GB workloads and noticeably reduces promotion failures.
