Nobody Knows Nobu
summary
Nobuyoshi Nakada holds the all time CRuby commit lead with over 10,000 commits and more than double second place, and the talk shows exact counts: hundreds of tiny whitespace fixes, 213 zero‑change "such patch" commits and 107 trailing‑space cleanups. Tools and workflows surface: uses Subversion and GitHub, runs tests with a test runner that reproduces fixes on dRuby, and scripts strip encoding and whitespace. Concrete patches fix memory and temp‑file leaks, repair a Windows threading bug in flip‑flop, and add features like deprecate constant — often committed minutes after diagnosis.
