Shows how to stop treating logs as text and build a queryable pipeline that actually finds root causes. Converts Rails logs to JSON-structured Rails logger, ships them to Elasticsearch + Kibana, and demonstrates concrete queries using a log query DSL to answer questions like error rate by release, session traces across services, and which parameter value caused CPU spikes. The pipeline is implemented end-to-end and proves useful for real debugging.
