Qiskit‑Pulse exposes a virtual ISA that programs superconducting transmon qubits by scheduling pulses as complex-valued sample arrays played per cycle DT and mixed with a carrier frequency and phase. It encodes Gaussian and Gaussian‑square envelopes, supports absolute timing, measurement acquisition (IQ or raw samples), and device constraints. Demonstration builds a cross resonance (CR) pulse CNOT: define CR pulses, run Ignis Hamiltonian tomography, then numerically optimize 12 pre/post local rotations to produce a CNOT schedule with fidelity comparable to the backend gate. Open source and pip‑installable via Qiskit.
