The ELISA project builds processes and tooling to show how Linux can be analyzed for safety-critical use, not to produce a “safety” kernel. Workgroups target automotive, medical and aerospace use cases and produce documented evidence: a 69% embedded Linux market stat, STPA on the OpenAPS insulin system, and OpenAPS workload traces captured on Raspberry Pi. Runtime discovery uses estrace and perf traces plus stress-ng; outputs and procedures land on GitHub and feed SPDX SBoM and kernel history (cregit) investigations.
