Kubernetes as a Universal Infrastructure Control Plane

slides:none on file

Kubernetes becomes the control plane for cloud services by using Crossplane plus custom operators: install Crossplane (Helm) and Crossplane + provider-aws to add managed resources, write an XRd and a Composition, then create a CompositeResourceClaim to provision an AWS SQS queue. Demo shows the queue created from Kubernetes, lifecycle delete works, and a manual change to visibility timeout is detected and restored—reconciliation auto-rollbacks. Pod identities and IAM roles are handled by a custom operator that creates service accounts and policies on demand.
