" summary

The community lost a key contributor last month; concrete contributions include maintaining dozens of Debian packages in Ruby JavaScript and Go, designing and coding the Debian India website and the FS group site, and writing a beginner Debian packaging tutorial still used today. Organized Debian events including DebConf 2023 in Kochi, built an Emacs distribution called Rmax, mentored hundreds of students, and kept running packaging and design workflows that others now inherit.
