Unfolding the Box Model

Live demos build entire scenes with CSS3 3D transforms: a six-sided cube made from div faces, a 50 div slinky that rotates by 5° per nested element, and a solar system where one div orbits another; perspective is controlled in pixels (typical value ~1000px). Examples run in Chrome/Safari/Firefox today, use transform-style, perspective-origin and backface-visibility, and are hardware-accelerated — avoid changing colors mid-transform to prevent repaints. Some complex effects combine small JavaScript drivers (book, FPS) and they work, albeit with performance caveats.
