Welcome + Opening Remarks
summary
First FluxCon announces that ControlPlane underwrites the event as a Diamond sponsor and has hired core maintainers to fund ongoing work; dozens of attendees raise hands as production users running Flux in real clusters. Concrete contributions include Azure AD/OIDC and GitHub App authentication features plus an implemented security model and active community maintainers. Room is nearly full, reception runs 5:30–6:30, CFP is closed, and organizers say more sponsorship is required to expand a half‑day into a full day.
