An Android app was localized into 17 languages using 14 outsourced translators; to manage fast turnarounds the developer built an Alice plugin that pushes selected strings.xml entries to translation APIs and reintegrates results, and also used Android Studio Translation Editor. Locale handling used MoreLocale2 and a static setLocale/updateConfiguration method; plurals used getQuantityString, number/date formatting used NumberFormat and DateUtils.getBestDateTimePattern, and RTL support was added with supportRtl=true, auto-mirrored drawables, and position-conversion wrappers.
