Multiplatform Settings reaches 1.0 alpha released as a common key‑value API that delegates to platform backends; current concrete backends include SharedPreferences (Android), NSUserDefaults, an iOS keychain implementation (experimental), JavaScript, Windows (experimental) and an in‑memory mock, with Linux desktop prototypes. The library adds suspend and flow modules to interoperate with Android DataStore, offers observable settings where platforms support listeners, and plans breaking changes: renaming platform types to backing names, removing implicit default primitives, and moving typed getters into the main interface. Feedback and contributions are requested.
